WMO Poleng Field Capacity and Debottlenecking Study

Client: Pertamina Hulu Energi West Madura Offshore (PHE WMO)

Location: Indonesia

The Poleng field is located offshore west of Madura island, East Java. PHE WMO operates a series of platforms including the Poleng Processing Platform (PPP), which is connected to the AW Platform, and the Central Processing Platform (CPP). The gas is exported via subsea pipeline to an Onshore Receiving Facility (ORF) at Gresik, while the oil is exported from the PPP-AW platforms through an FSO.

For debottlenecking and further development of the Poleng Field, PHE WMO have requested that the existing capacity of the oil and gas network be reviewed.

Synergy's Scope of Work

Synergy developed an interactive spreadsheet to check the capacity of the Poleng field oil and gas network. The underlying system model included simulations in software packages such as PIPESIM and HYSYS for a range of production flowrates.

The final spreadsheet model takes in gas and oil production rates at the wellhead platforms in the network as inputs and checks the capacity of equipment on the production facilities to handle the production rates.

Key Project Archievements

  1.  Simulated a wide range of production flowrates for wellhead platforms in the Poleng field oil and gas network.
  2. Integrated the simulation results into a custom interactive capacity check spreadsheet
