Peluang Field FARSI Study and SCPS

Client: Santos

Location: Indonesia

The Peluang Field is located in the Madura Offshore PSC in the Madura Straits approximately 26km south of Madura Island and 129km east of Surabaya. The field is 17km southwest of the Maleo gas field, which commenced gas production in September 2006.

The Peluang Field has reserves of approximately 43BCF of biogenic gas with no hydrocarbon liquids similar to Maleo. The relatively small size means that only a single wellhead platform (Peluang WHP) is required and a tie-back to the Maleo Production Platform (MPP) is the least cost development option.

Synergy's Scope of Work

Synergy conducted a Functionality, Availability, Reliability, Survivability and Interdependence (FARSI) study for the Peluang WHP and modifications to the MPP. This study was performed to support the development of the Safety Critical Performance Standards (SCPS) for the facility, which was also part of the work scope.

Key Project Archievements

  1.  Identified the Safety Critical Control Measures (SCCM) that were applicable to the project.
  2. Developed the Safety Critical Performance Standards (SCPS) for the facilities.
